Let's talk about Ranked Choice Voting so you're ready to rank your vote!
Charlottesville City Council has authorized the use of ranked choice voting for the 2025 city council primary elections––this means your ballot will look a little different for the city council race than it has before or for other races on your ballot this year.
Mayor Juandiego Wade and Vice Mayor Brian Pinkston are asking you to rank them your top two choices!
- Ranked choice voting (RCV) lets you rank candidates in order of preference. You'll see a bubble grid like this one that will allow you to indicate your rankings:
